National Parks Trip
At IBES Daycare, we believe that learning goes beyond the classroom. After a fun unit on animals, we took our students on an exciting field trip to Manyara National Park and Arusha National Park. This adventure allowed them to see the animals they had been learning about in real life!
The day started with a lot of excitement as the children talked about their favorite animals on the way to the parks. When we reached Manyara National Park, the beautiful view amazed them. The green trees and wide grasslands made them excited to see many animals, and they couldn’t wait to begin exploring.
The children learned about different animals and their habitats. They saw elephants, zebras, and even some baboons. For many, it was the first time they had seen a lion or giraffe up close, and their eyes sparkled with wonder!
In Arusha National Park, the adventure continued. The students had a chance to spot giraffes reaching for leaves high in the trees and to observe how animals interact in their natural surroundings.
Throughout the day, we emphasized the importance of caring for wildlife and preserving their habitats. The children learned that every animal plays a special role in maintaining the balance of nature. This message resonated with them, sparking conversations about how they can help protect the environment.
After an engaging morning game of spotting wildlife, the children took a well-deserved break for lunch. They enjoyed their delicious meals under the shade of the trees, chatting happily about the animals they had seen. Refreshed and full of energy, they were ready for one more adventure before heading home.
This trip to Manyara and Arusha National Parks was not just a fun day out; it was an enriching experience that allowed our children to see firsthand the wonders of nature and the importance of wildlife conservation.
