Help us to finish this building to transform teaching in Tanzania

We are building a future where primary school teachers are equipped with non-violent classroom management skills, ensuring safer, more nurturing environments for children across Tanzania. This facility is nearly complete, and with your support, we can finish it and begin training.

The building will serve as a hub for mass education, allowing us to train teachers from different schools nationwide. These primary school teachers will learn effective, non-violent teaching methods that eliminate the harmful practice of corporal punishment, creating positive ripple effects in classrooms and communities.

However, we need your help to continue and expand this important work. With your support, we can ensure that more primary schools and teachers, have the opportunity to learn and create lasting change in Tanzania.

Challenge

Corporal punishment remains a widespread issue in Tanzanian schools, harming children and perpetuating cycles of violence. Our training programs are already inspiring change in the schools we’ve reached, but the demand for this knowledge is growing. Additionally, this building will support our growing daycare teacher training program. It will provide space for daycare teacher trainees to develop their skills.

Impact

  • Equip teachers with non-violent discipline strategies, helping them create safer classrooms for children.
  • Expand access to training for teachers from multiple schools, fostering change on a larger scale.
  • Provide additional space for our teacher training students to continue developing their skills and contributing to a future free of corporal punishment.

Requirements to finish the facility

  • Walls, windows, and doors to secure the space.
  • Ceiling and flooring for a functional and comfortable learning environment.
  • Movable walls for flexible spaces to accommodate different group sizes.
  • Fans and lighting to enhance comfort during training sessions.
  • Wheelchair-accessible entrances to ensure inclusivity.

The total cost for these essential components is Tsh 235,592,950/= (approximately $95,731). Your support will help us transform this vision into reality.
