At IBES Daycare, learning is not limited to the classroom it’s an adventure filled with fun, exploration and hands-on experience!

On October 3rd, our little explorers from the Young Elephants, Zebras, Giraffes and Lions (Pre-Primary classes) took part in a joyful Water Festival held at Maji ya Chai branch.

The day began with exciting water-themed games, where children learned how important water is in our daily lives. They discovered the different uses of water from washing and cooking to watering plants, fishing and swimming.

With bright smiles and curious minds, the children got a chance to experience what they learned in class and put it into action. This hands-on approach helped them understand that water is not just something we drink it’s essential for life, health and growth.

After learning and playing, the day ended with a safe and happy swimming session, supervised closely by our dedicated teachers. Safety is always our top priority at IBES because we believe in helping every child grow academically, physically and emotionally in a secure environment.

It was truly a day filled with learning, laughter and splashes reminding us that education can be both fun and meaningful!

At IBES, we believe in learning by doing!

Through activities like the Water Festival, our children build curiosity, creativity and confidence preparing them to grow into caring, smart and responsible individuals.

At IBES Daycare, learning is not confined to books and classrooms, it comes alive through play, exploration, and real-world experiences. On Friday, 26th September, our little learners from Maji ya Chai Branch and Leganga Branch had the wonderful opportunity to celebrate a Water Festival as part of their studies.

The activity was carried out by our groups: the Elephants, Zebras, Giraffes, and Lions (Pre-Primary classes). The theme was centered on the uses of water in everyday life, giving children a chance to connect what they study in class with practical experiences.

The day began with exciting water-related games, where children learned in a playful way how essential water is in our daily lives. They discovered how water is used for growing plants, bathing, cleaning, fishing, and many other household needs. Through these activities, they were able to see, touch and practice what they had learned in class.

After the games, the children enjoyed time in the swimming pool, not just for fun, but also to appreciate water as a source of recreation and health. All swimming activities were conducted under the close supervision of teachers to ensure safety and well-being.

The children were very happy and engaged throughout the day and it was clear that they gained a deeper understanding of how water supports life in so many ways. At IBES, we always emphasize hands-on learning because we believe children learn best when they can experience lessons in a real and practical environment.

al was not only educational but also a joyful memory for our learners. At IBES Daycare, we remain committed to providing a safe, nurturing, and holistic environment where children grow physically, mentally, and academically. More Pictures https://ibes73.pixieset.com/waterfestival2692025/

On Friday, August 29th, 2025, IBES Daycare children enjoyed an exciting and educational trip to Tarangire National Park. We are truly grateful to our teachers for their teamwork and dedication in ensuring every child was safe and cared for throughout the journey.

Discovering Wildlife and Nature

Inside Tarangire national park, the children had the opportunity to see a variety of animals and natural wonders, including:

  • Elephants
  • Giraffes
  • Zebras
  • Wildebeests
  • VervetI monkeys
  • Ostrich
  • Animal skeletons and bones that helped them learn about the cycle of life in the wild

They also observed different types of trees, which added to their excitement and learning experience.

Learning Through Experience

This trip gave the children a chance to connect classroom knowledge with real-world experiences. They discovered fascinating facts about animal behavior and family structures:

  • Zebras and wildebeests prefer staying together in the same area
  • Elephants live in family groups with a father, mother, and baby elephant, led by a group leader
  • Animals, like humans, have their own families and social groups

Through these observations, the children learned not only about wildlife but also about teamwork, leadership and family values.

A Day to Remember

The trip to Tarangire National Park was full of joy, learning, and unforgettable moments. The children not only identified different animals and their behaviors but also strengthened their understanding of the difference between wild animals and domestic animals.

They truly enjoyed the animals, the river, and the experience of being out in nature. At IBES Daycare, we believe such experiences go beyond fun they shape children into curious, confident and responsible learners.

On Thursday, August 28th, 2025, IBES Daycare children had the wonderful opportunity to visit Arusha National Park for an exciting and educational trip. We sincerely thank all our teachers for their teamwork and commitment in ensuring that every child was safe and fully engaged throughout the day.

A Day of Joy and Exploration

The children were thrilled to see wildlife up close and enjoy the beauty of nature. Among the animals they spotted were giraffes, monkeys, warthogs and deer, each sparking curiosity and excitement. They also admired the park’s breathtaking landscapes and were fascinated by the Momella River, which quickly became one of the highlights of the trip.

At the entrance, the children were especially drawn to the elephant statue, which captured their attention and gave them a memorable welcome to the park.

Learning Beyond the Classroom

This trip provided a perfect chance for the children to connect classroom knowledge with real-world experiences. They were able to:

  • Differentiate between wild animals and domestic animals
  • Observe animal behaviors and habitats directly
  • Learn about trees and plants, including species that naturally grow on top of other trees and the unique “mouse plant” with its striking green leaves
  • Put classroom lessons into practice by seeing in reality what they had previously studied in books

Being face-to-face with animals and plants allowed the children to strengthen their understanding, memory and ability to describe their experiences with confidence.

A Memorable Experience

The Arusha National Park trip was more than just a fun outing, it was an opportunity for growth, learning and building memories that the children will carry with them for a long time. At IBES Daycare, we believe that such practical experiences help shape children into curious, responsible and confident individuals.

Last Friday July 25, 2025, IBES Daycare hosted a vibrant and joyful Sports & Fun Day bringing together all our branches Njiro, Leganga, Ngulelo and Maji ya Chai for one unforgettable event. The children, along with their teachers, gathered at our main branch in Maji ya Chai to enjoy a day full of laughter, unity, and purposeful play.

The goal of this event was to create a space where children could learn through play, build friendships across branches and enjoy time outside the classroom in a positive, healthy environment. And that goal was absolutely achieved!.

What Made the Day Special?
The children participated in a variety of games and activities that supported both their physical and mental development;

  • Free play in the playground
  • A fun blindfold game to find a hidden ball
  • Tug of war (full of energy and teamwork!)
  • Group storytelling sessions led by teachers
  • Interactive games involving both teachers and children

It was heartwarming to see all the children playing together without any barriers or divisions. The joyful atmosphere was filled with laughter, encouragement and creativity. Teachers were fully involved, guiding the children, joining in the fun and even telling stories that captured every child’s attention.

Why It Matters
This special day went beyond just fun it supported several key areas of child development:

  • Boosting mental and emotional growth
  • Encouraging creativity and self-expression
  • Teaching teamwork, discipline, and responsibility
  • Helping children build positive social skills
  • Improving physical health and motor skills through active play

Children were well taken care of throughout the day, enjoying breakfast and lunch served on time and many moments were captured in beautiful photographs memories they will surely cherish.
We extend our sincere gratitude to all the teachers who made this day possible with their dedication and active participation. Their presence and enthusiasm made the event even more special for the children.

This Sports & Fun Day was a true celebration of unity, learning, joy, and growth just the kind of experience we value at IBES Daycare!.

Our eldest group of learners had the thrilling opportunity to visit Arusha Airport and explore the world of air travel up close.

For many of our children, this was their very first time seeing real airplanes, watching them land and take off, and experiencing the organized environment of an airport. The excitement was contagious — wide eyes, endless questions, and pure amazement filled the day!

This real-life exposure helped our children understand how air travel works and sparked big dreams in little minds. From learning how passengers board planes to seeing the hard work of airport staff, every part of the trip turned into a learning opportunity.

We are deeply thankful to the Arusha Airport team for their warm welcome and support. Your openness and kindness gave our children an experience they’ll talk about for a long time and maybe even planted seeds for future pilots, engineers, or travelers!

At IBES, we believe in learning by doing and this trip was a powerful example of that philosophy in action.

Highlights of the Day:
Exploring Arusha Airport
Seeing airplanes take off and land
Learning how airports operate
Experiencing the wonder of air travel
Real-life inspiration for future dreams

At IBES Daycare, we bring learning to life through real-world experiences and our recent train adventure was nothing short of magical! As part of our ongoing topic on means of transport, our older group of learners got to explore one of the most fascinating ways to travel: by train.

Thanks to the support of the Tanzania Railways Corporation (TRC), our children had a unique opportunity to visit the train station, see real trains up close, and even enjoy a short, guided ride.

The excitement on their faces as the train pulled in was priceless. From hearing the whistle blow to stepping aboard the train, it was a completely new experience for most of them. They asked curious questions, observed the surroundings, and enjoyed every moment of this special journey.

Trips like this are more than just fun they help children connect what they learn in class with the world around them. We are incredibly grateful to TRC for opening their doors and making this day possible. Your support played a big role in creating a meaningful memory for these young minds.

Highlights of the Day:
Visiting the TRC train station
Seeing trains in action
A real train ride experience
Boosting curiosity and confidence
Connecting classroom learning to the real world

At IBES Daycare, we believe that learning goes far beyond the classroom. On June 9th, our children had an exciting opportunity to bring their lessons about transportation to life with a real bus station visit and ride experience!

This special trip was part of our learning. For this particular group, the focus was on road transportation, and what better way to understand buses than to see them in action?

We partnered with JADER Bus Company, and thanks to their incredible support, our children not only toured the bus station but also had the chance to ride a full-sized passenger bus.

During the visit, the children saw how buses operate, how passengers board, and how drivers and station staff help everything run smoothly. After the station tour, JADER graciously took us to our next stop, a fun and safe play area where the kids got to unwind, play, and talk about their favorite moments from the ride.

From start to finish, the smiles on their faces said it all. The experience was not just fun but it was educational, memorable, and empowering. It allowed the children to connect classroom learning with the real world in a way that textbooks simply can’t offer.

We extend our deepest thanks to JADER Bus Company for their kindness, generosity, and belief in early childhood education. You helped us give our children a day they’ll never forget.

Highlights of the Day:

Visiting a real bus station
Observing how buses are managed and operated
Riding on a JADER bus to the play destination
Real-life learning outside the classroom
Lots of fun, laughter, and discovery!

At IBES Ngulelo Branch, we recently celebrated an incredible Cultural Day that brought Tanzanian traditions to life for our children. This day was designed not only for fun but as an immersive experience to teach children about the rich diversity of Tanzanian culture. Children dressed up in traditional costumes representing various tribes, particularly the Maasai and Meru, reflecting the rich heritage of Arusha, known for its strong Maasai and Meru community. The children’s excitement was contagious as they proudly wore the vibrant clothing of their ancestors.

Embracing Traditional Foods and Drinks

Food is a central part of every culture, and the children enjoyed traditional Tanzanian dishes like ugali, a staple food across many Tanzanian tribes. They also had the opportunity to drink loshoroo (made with milk and corn), a daily favorite for the Maasai people. This tasting experience was a fun, hands-on way for children to connect with the tastes of Tanzania and learn more about the importance of food in cultural celebrations.

Activities Inspired by Daily Life

Teacher Josephine, who organized the entire event, designed activities to help children experience a day in the life of their parents and grandparents. These activities included blowing on firewood to start a fire—a practical skill for many Tanzanians—and peeling green bananas, a common practice for preparing traditional dishes like ndizi. The children also tried carrying bundles of firewood and jugs of water, simulating a daily chore for many in rural communities. Some of the girls practiced sweeping while carrying a doll on their backs, just as many Tanzanian women carry their babies while working.

Learning Through Play

One of the highlights of the day was the traditional drum performance and music session, where the children learned the basics of playing African drums. As the beats echoed through the classroom, the children danced and laughed, fully immersed in the rhythm of their heritage. This musical activity not only introduced them to traditional sounds but allowed them to bond through dance, an essential part of Tanzanian celebrations.

Through these activities, the children not only had a fantastic day but also gained valuable life skills. They learned the importance of helping their families with chores, how to prepare simple foods, and the beauty of working together—values deeply ingrained in Tanzanian culture. The event was a huge success, thanks to Teacher Josephine’s thoughtful planning, which brought these traditions alive in a way that resonated with each child.

At IBES, we’re proud to provide children with opportunities to learn about and connect with their cultural roots. This Cultural Day is more than just a celebration; it’s a step toward preserving Tanzanian heritage for the next generation.
